What kind of contract do I need? Can the original operating agreement just be re-done with new member added or is there something easier than that?

Any lawyers office would have “boiler plate” documents for this purpose.
There is also the consideration of assigning “shares” of the LLC to another person ~ there will be costs involved in the new person buying shares in the existing LLC . . . depending on what the value of that LLC is at this point in time of course.
This will show up in your minute book (if you keep one; or your lawyer keeps one for you)
