hi i work in a consultant engineering company and recently we have received a request to prepare contract documents fo operation and maintenance of a dam for 5 years. as this is a new form of contract for us we wanted to know if there are any standard forms for this kind of contract. i have checked fidic, jbcc, nec and some other sites but couldn’t find anything. can anybody help?

Dear sisi, how could there be a standard form contract for operation and maintenance of a dam if all dams are different?
All contracts have an administrative specifications section, a general specifications and particular specifications sections.
The part that you will have to write from scratch are the particular specifications. For that, you will have to establish the scope. Iow, list all the task that you want and need to be performed, how they will have to be performed, how they will be paid for. Be specific but not redundant. Make sure to list each and every task in as much detail as possible, otherwise, it may come back and bite you later.
