Question by Track Star Figga: do you need a recording contract to become like a famous singer?
i was just wondering because i was watching this show about this guy who went to a recording studio to make a demo. it got me thinking: if you can get into a recording studio, can you make your own albums without a producer and a label and stuff like that? and if the answer to that was yes, how would you distribute to places like Target or Walmart or something? Maybe if you have enough money, you can get in a studio…but how much would that cost??? questions, questions.

That’s what Elvis did, he went and recorded some songs for his mother. I guess some producer found him then. You’d have to have a lot of money for the distribution. It couldn’t cost that much. But if you’d want to become famous for that, it might be cheaper to just buy the equipment yourself.
