Q&A: “Contract to Hire position” do you support it ?

Question by rks: “Contract to Hire position” do you support it ?
I currently have a permanent job in a small company with decent pay, recently a big company has offered a contract to hire job for six months, they say this period is for evaluation and if the performance is good they would hire. This job is backed up by another agency where I will be a fulltime employee till the contract period ends with their client . Should I take the risk ? They pay is almost same, should I go for a brand name?

If you know that you can be a real asset to this new company, I say go for it, but if you know that during the probation period you’ll be slackin’ off or not working properly, just stay at the job you have now.
