Can I still become a professional songwriter without playing any music instruments?

I want to become a songwriter and of course I have my own lyrics and I can picture how it sounds in my head, but the thing is that I don’t know how to play any musical instruments…can I still become a professional songwriter? do music companies just hire someone to do the music part?

I don’t think you have too

One of Faith Hill had a CD with a few songs from a housewife who wrote them and I believed that she didn’t have any musical talent besides song writting.
