Grand Jury Band – Lo-Key

“The Grand Jury Band”. This video was filmed in 1984 in Richmond, Mo. The band was started in my neighborhood around 57th & Euclid area Kansas City, Mo in 1979-80. Shortly after this performance in 1984 we lost in a battle of the bands, 2nd place to a band to become known as “Ready For The World” First place prize was a recording contract. In 1985 RFTW released the song “Oh Shelia”. Still determined, The Grand Jury Band went on to greater things and later became known as “Lo-Key” produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis – Flyte Tyme Productions.
