I’m currently working on a novel. No, I prefer not to tell you what it’s about, because I’m very protective of my work. I know the basics of the publishing process. Do you have any tips for me? For example, what is a good publishing company to go to for first-timers? Additionally, how may I go about getting a literary agent and do I need one?
Most importantly, how can I get people to see it and read it? This includes any marketing and distribution tips you might have. I’m told I’m a fantastic writer, and several of my teachers have reprimanded me for pursuing a career in music instead of literature. I really do think I have a chance, but how?
Don’t worry, I can take (and give) criticism very well.
