Documentary following three musical Catholic priests from Northern Ireland as they sign a one million pound recording contract, make their first album and perform a gala concert. All this is achieved in their spare time as they still maintain their day jobs as parish priests – a reality that causes tension, exhaustion and doubt.

The competitions, now held in various countries, are contested by aspiring pop singers, and talent-filled aspiring performers drawn from public auditions. The “X Factor” of the title refers to the undefinable “something” that makes for star quality. The prize is usually a recording contract (in addition to the publicity that appearance in the later stages of the show itself generates, not only for the winner but also for other highly ranked contestants). The format creator is Simon Cowell who also judges and mentors on the UK series. The UK version is responsible for the launch of Leona Lewis. The X – Factor Series 6 – November 28, 2009 – Elimination 8 The five remaining singers left in the competition have to perform live twice this week. The have to sing a Take That and Elton John hit. The judges give their verdicts after each one of them have performed. At the end of the show the phone lines are opened for this week’s public vote.
