Significant Cuts Proposed for East Aurora Schools
Faced with a combination of rising costs and decreasing state aid that creates a budget gap of more than $ 1.8 million, Interim Superintendent Brian Russ has laid out a series of possible cuts in the East Aurora School District. In a March 9 presentation to the School Board, Russ detailed five tiers of staff and program reductions to be considered for the 2011-2012 school year.

Alabama Ethics Commission closes case on State Senator Trip Pittman
FAIRHOPE, Ala. – The Alabama Ethics Commission is “closing all files related to the complaint” that Fairhope resident Paul Ripp filed against state Sen. Lee “Trip” Pittman, according to a letter sent Feb. 4 to Ripp from the commission’s head attorney.
