Anime questionnaire for a boring Tuesday?

Question by Prinny: Anime questionnaire for a boring Tuesday?
I have the whole week off right now, and while I like the time off from school it gets boring fast. So, I’ve decided to make an anime survey to cure my boredom. I have nothing more to say.

#1. Are you listening to a song right now? If so, what is it? If not, what song is stuck in your head right now?
>>I’m currently listening to the Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou OP. Cool song. Listen:

#2. CNN did a report on the video “Bad apple”, a shadow art music video with the Touhou characters in it. Here’s the video clip of their broadcast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeEIteQmpHE What do you think?
>>Maybe Touhou’s a little too obscure for CNN. The video amused me though, and I ended up watching the stop motion version of the song. It was pretty cool.

#3. How many times do you usually rewatch a series? Or have you never rewatched a series?
>>I rarely rewatch anything. The only series I can think of off the top of my head are Hetalia, Princess Princess, and Junjou Romantica. The first two were only rewatched because my friends wanted to watch the anime and I had already seen the DVD. I just don’t think that a lot of series have rewatch value.

#4. Do you ever read the source material an anime that you liked was based on (e.g light novels, video games, manga)?
>>yes, I like reading the source material of anime I like. In fact, I usually end up following the manga and drop the anime. I read the light novels when I can find them, but I just can’t get into the groove of reading books online. I’d much prefer that they were released in the U.S and that I could go and buy them. It’s things like this that make me wish I was fluent in Japanese.

#5. Do you wish anime was more mainstream? Why or why not?
>>I wish that anime was more mainstream. If anime becomes more popular than it will sell more and make more money for the companies that release the titles. More money means that more funds can be alloted to a number of things, including dubbing, streaming, and licensing more anime. I could care less about that whole “popular” taboo that a lot of fans get spooked about, because there will always be some parts of anime that will remain niche and virtually unknown. Besides, anime being more popular would equal more anime fans, and wouldn’t it be great if we had more people to talk to that had similiar interests?

BQ: Name the last piece of anime merchandise you bought.
I’ll agree that Bad Apple can get annoying, but I like it.
