Q&A: Having trouble with Limewire? Stuck behind a firewall no matter what I do. Found a solution: Frostwire.?

Question by andywho2006: Having trouble with Limewire? Stuck behind a firewall no matter what I do. Found a solution: Frostwire.?
I tried everything from reinstalls to manual ports through the firewall. Went to wikipedia to find an answer. Apparently a Limewire participant was sued and tried to grab credit card #’s in retaliation. Since Limewire is an open program format, a couple of very smart people developed a “fork” to the program. Just downloaded Frostwire. My library is still there and I get turbo charged search and download. The RIAA can try and shut us down from Napster on. Give it up. “The cow has left the barn”. Time to think a new way to sell music to the public. I applaud the new bands to present their music to the public on the internet. With today’s technology, any musician is free to produce excellent recordings without a need for a major record company to sign them to a contract to record and distribute their music and keep a chunk of the royalities.

I agree. They can’t stop it so why not make their money from some other place in the business. Such as did you know that the singers and musicians don’t get any money for the songs playing on the radio? Only the songwriters and record execs get a chunk each time the song is played. The actually people that make the songs famous get money up front before it makes a hit.

Really they make enough money already from the sky high ticket prices for concerts. Scalpers need to be scalped. No pun intended. I mean it.
