If in college my major was music production?
I could apply for a record label company correct?
Like BMG records ect?
Isnt that what kind of job a major in music production count for?

Well music industry is a really general major. You kind of learn everything about production/management/copy right laws/and the actual music itself. So yeah, a job like that would be in the cards.
Check out Drexel University. Its one of the best and most reputable music industry programs in the country if youre not going to a strictly performing arts college. Its also one of the only schools in the country to have their own record label so you can get experience during school as well as additional experience while on co-op at a major label.
