You think the major record labels industry will die out?
Question by You Too: You think the major record labels industry will die out?
Or do you think that they’re change with the times? I mean now more than ever there’s a platform for new and current artist to get their music directly to the fans without the middleman, and without changing your music and/or style to fit a business agenda. Either though I do feel that radio and marketing still have influence but I think that’s dwindling fast.In ten years do you see a bunch of independent companies establishingon a more digital/ psychical level or will you continue to see the majors still dominating? Also what about distribution? Thanks in avance

Some of the majors may disperse or go under while more powerful digital labels will start to take over.
The way they operate, too, will change dramatically in the next five years, as digital technology starts to bring in more effective methods of distribution. And that is the key word – distribution. The volume and speed product can be transmitted today, around the world compared with just 2 years back – is staggering.
