So you’re managing a band in another state, and you are 18? We’ll see how long that lasts. Anyway, important things:

1. Look professional. If you’re unsure, it’s always to be overdressed for business, once you meet them and you can decide if you’re overdressed, dress down. Until then, look sharp.

2. As the band manager, you should have all of their information available as soon as you get to this meeting. This means their P.R.O (assuming you know what that is and have signed them up with one), their touring schedule, their albums and songs, their licensing, their publishing, and everything about them.

As their manager, you are actually the most replaceable person in the world. I hate to say it, but a manager is there only for connections. There are people who specialize in everything that a band could need, so you have to be on your game if you want to manage a band and not get overshadowed by somebody else.
