work for hire?

I made some music and signed it off to a record label as work for hire, but I never got paid a cent.. Can I void this contract and sell it to someone else or use it for myself ?

No.

According to the definitions in the U.S. Copyright Law of 1974 and as amended, a “work for hire” is the sole property of the person doing the hiring, not the person who did the work. Unless your contract specifically included a clause to let you retain ownership, you never owned the song in the first place.
