Taylor Swift has zero talent, and everything falls in her lap or she gets everything handed to her on a silver platter. I guess if you’re tall, thin, and blonde, that’s what happens. Would she be anywhere near as popular as she is if she was 50 pounds heavier, had short brown hair, and wore glasses? We all know she can’t sing for crap, and all she cares about is getting as many teenybopper fans as possible.
Who really knows just how much of the songs she actually wrote, and that she’s not having others write them for her and she’s paying them so she can take the credit? Of course, every one is about the same thing, teens breaking up with bf/gf, so you can tell it was written by a teenybopper. She hasn’t been alive long enough to write any meaningful songs, ones that would appeal to people other than tweens and teens.

She is not the best vocalist but seems like a very humble, nice girl. She has a fanbase, mostly tweens, teens, etc that is large enough to continue to push her to the top of charts, videos, etc. You are absolutely right — if she was heavier and wore glasses or looked more like Beth Ditto, she would not be in the same position she’s in now. The music industry and entertainment industry is very looks based these days. It’s been complained about over the years, but there’s really nothing to be done about it. Our society in general doesn’t value heavier girls who dance/write music or guys with acne who can sing, etc. Shame.
