Ok we entered a local talent show in dayton,ohio and it was consisiting of 12 musical acts and we had also 4 comedy acts qualify.But the interesting part was we had all different genres of music and some of us played in other groups like me I played in a live band by myself and I also played in a live band for my brother and we were the only live bands there.I played a Song from the 80’s called Missing you by John Wait and my Brother and i sung “With You by Chris Brown” I finished third with my own group and Second with My bro.All the other groups to to a stinking cd we actually and highly trained musicians that had better concert quality than all of the other ppl and we also had very strict micheal jackson like dance routines while we sang nearly ptich perfect.The crowd of 3,0000 folks even booed the winner the competion which she won a free recording session at a local studio and to record a demo album to send out to all the major labels for a contract.

When I was in high school my band played in the school talent show and lost to an air band and a ventriloquist. The Ventriloquist was quite good and deserved to win, but I didn’t understand how an air band of high school kids with no musical ability could beat a live band in a “talent” show. The truth is, they were more entertaining though. Either that or there’s some conspiracy against live bands in talent shows that nobody has made us aware of. Somehow I think the judges (whoever they were) found the other contestants more entertaining – sorry.
