who wishes rap would convert back to the way it was?
Question by d^‿^b: who wishes rap would convert back to the way it was?
Back to the days of eric b and rakim, grandmaster, eazy e, dr. dre.
Who here wishes the whole commercialization of hip hop would stop, and rappers get back to their lyrical roots. When will most rappers know that a having a hot beat does not make a rap song great, but the lyrical savvy of the artist.
Don’t get me wrong, their are some rappers whose lyrics are on point: lil wayne, jay, lupe, kayne. but majority leave you scratchin your head wondering how the hell they even got a record contract.
Also who here wishes that a dope female rapper will come in the game, like MC lyte, I’m tired of hearing my fellow female MC’s only talking about sex.
lol, yes I call this age of rap the “bubblegum period”, too much candy coasted rap is being released, I mean I almost died when I heard chicken noodle soup, or lipgloss, aunt jackie, heizman, and it’s not just the south that relases this garbage.
aimjeezy: I actually saw those clips and I still think she is garbage, it’s not just lipgloss, have you heard her song with avril, sorry but I think she can’t spit.
