Where could I go to play music where people would give me some cash or spare change? All my money has to go to bills, and right now I have about 4 dollars. I got a really great chance at getting a recording contract. At my last gig a record producer I have talked to before asked me to come to Nasvhville for a few days (3 hours away) in July. I cannot afford this at all. I am going to donate plasma and by the time I leave I’ll have $ 60.00 from that but I need a lot more for gas/ hotel cost (Ill bring my food). what public places could I play music for some pocket change or something? or what other ways can I get some cash. I have 3 weeks. This could be my big break.

Consider playing at some local bars and eateries that have bars… they may pay you up front or you may just work for tips. Also check some local party halls, country clubs, and event planners to see if they need anyone.
I know one lady that plays in the subway station and people throw money at her.
There is also the possibility of a local shopping center or mall… but you will have to get permission first.
There is also the possibility of a downtown park, or a town square, with a lot of foot traffic.
