When you signed a contract with the us army When did you start getting paid?

Question by Lgdgm: When you signed a contract with the us army When did you start getting paid?
I have not signed my contract with the army yet but I wanted to know when would I start getting paid, two weeks after I sign my contract or when the send me to Basic training. I will appreciate some clarifications on this.
