What should I put in my resume?
Question by rubbadubdubba: What should I put in my resume?
I’m currently 15 years old and looking forward to applying for an internship at Fueled By Ramen (record label). To apply for an internship, which I hope will eventually lead to a job at the label, you have to submit a resume. Since I’m still pretty young, I need to know what sort of activities and things I should do to put in my resume for FBR.
To put it in short: what activities would look best on the resume? What sort of things should I put in it?
I have a few years before I apply for the internship, so I’d really like to stock up on experience. Keep in mind that it IS a music production company and a record label, so things have to be fitting.
Thank you in advance!
All of the answers below have been exceptional, but does anyone have specific advice for a music industry internship?

the very best thing to put in a resume is listing where you have had experience or education that qualifies you for the job you are applying.
It is called a functional resume, and is pretty good, especially when you are young.
FIRST – find out NOW what sort of tasks the interns do.
Make a list of them.
For each one, figure out whether to get education, volunteer, get good grades, do charity work, etc.
NOW: when it is time to write the resume,
divide it up by those factors.
For instance, if your job’s major functions were
Manage, Direct, Negotiate, Build Teams
you would have each of those as a heading, with a few sentences under each to list where and how you had ALREADY demonstrated that ability.
