I want to work in the Music Industry, preferably in Los Angeles. I am interested in the business side of music, not performance. I have a bachelor’s in business and will have an MBA in May. No school in LA offers a graduate course in Music Business. NYU, Belmont, and U of Miami are my only options; however, NYU is way too expensive, but I’m worried that the other two will not open enough doors in LA since Belmont (Tennessee) is big on country music and Christian pop (not my kind of music ha). Should I obtain a certificate in music business, a second bachelor’s, etc? I’m stumped. Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you thought about just applying for jobs in LA and seeing if you even need an extra degree? The time spend on some Music Business degree could be spent getting valuable work experience.
