Question by Christian: what is the best program for music production?
I have been using FL studio 4, the trial version, and want to now purchase a better program like it for music production. I would like it to have drum loops, instruments, and also be able to record my voice in it( instead of going to another program to record it)

I have heard things about ableton, mixcraft, reason, and cubase.

Out of the ones you name only Mixcraft is less than $ 100, but I wouldn’t advice that one.

I’m using FL Studio Producer Edition myself. I know it’s more than $ 100 but it’s totally worth it. The producer edition can also record audio and although it doesn’t come with drum loops you can easily get some free drum loops online for use with FL Studio.

So in short, I’d try saving up a little more for the FL Studio Producer Edition (now at version 9 btw, with lots more features than Fruity Loops 4).
