Question by d man: What have been some negative changes in the country music industry in the past decade?
I am currently writing an essay about how music industry has changed. I am not a country music enthusiast, so I really dont know what has changed in this genre. I thought one change may be the shift from old school country to the newer sounding rock-country music. If you can add more insight that would be helpful

it’s becoming more ‘pop’ ish .. they are using different instruments as well.
also the singers (especially the younger ones) lack that soulful bluesy tone in their voice, which is distinctly country
