Because after school I want to become a music producer and then open up my own studio.

well, technically you just have to make music and know how to use the equipment. if you want to be a successful producer then there are different ways to go about it. there are special music school and universities that you can go to to get a degree in music production, or you can get your foot in the door elsewhere, but it takes years of experience.
