Question by 004: What can I do in the meantime to prepare for a singing career in the future?
I’m an aspiring singer but my parents and I believe in education first before a career. I’m an art student who’s gonna be studying art in University and I’m having a gap year. Because I didnt finish my music grades for piano and don’t know music theory, I’m not studying music (I think that would limit my chances at studying it at school). I was wondering what things I could do to prepare for a career later on? This question is for those who are in the music business. Based on your experiences what do you suggest I work on? If you were telling yourselves (before you became successful) what to look out for or prepare for. I really need your insight!

You wanna be a singer then be a singer not a student…

producer don’t care about university (unless you want to work behind the camera.) but even there they don’t really care. what hey care about is what you can do.

They want the best artist. And you can’t learn art you can only discover it. And also always need to improve everything.
((i’m not talking here about physical aspect)
improve your singing, your musical ear, your imagination, your charisme, your originality everything.

It would be too simple to go at the university and after be singer… lol Unless you wanna sing in commercial or stuff like that where nobody know who sing.
