Thousands gathered to honor Princess Diana
Hello on this Monday the second day of July 2007. I’mRebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update. Thousands of people gathered in London yesterday to pay tribute to Princess Diana. Her sons Princes William and Harry organized the Concert for their mom to mark the ten year anniversary of her death and also celebrate what would have been her 46th birthday. The event kicked off with Elton John’s “Your Song.” It also included performances by Duran Duran, Lilly Allen and the English National Ballet. The new animated film “Ratatouille” smashed US box offices over the weekend. It grabbed the number one spot, bringing in more than 47 million dollars in ticket sales. Bruce Willis’ action film “Live Free or Die Hard” took the second spot. And “Evan Almighty,” starring Steve Carell placed third. Actress Penelope Cruz reportedly caused a flight delay last week. Britain’s Daily Mail says she became very nervous and appeared to have a panic attack when the plane she was traveling on began moving. Passengers say she spoke to a flight attendant before the plane returned to the gate before take-off so Cruz could get off. The flight was delayed nearly two hours. The actress’ publicist denies she had any sort of panic attack and says the plane was delayed because of weather. Supermodel Carol Alt is reportedly suing her ex-husband. The suit says former New York Rangers player Ron Greschner has failed to meet the terms of their divorce agreement. Alt says he never split the 18 million …
