This Week in TNA’s Spotlight on The Rayne of Tara
Let’s be honest, here. How this team came about is, honestly, about as ass-backwards as it gets. Maddie beats Tara in a Career vs. Title match. Because of this, Tara then decides to jump on board Team Madison, acting as her bodyguard, saving Maddie’s title from being taken from her by Angelina Love (for a moment) for… some reason, I guess. Actually, no, there is actually a good reason, TNA just isn’t using it. See, before Tara’s contract came up, TNA had plans to reignite the Tara/Angelina feud from last year, with Tara in the role of the heel, and, in fact, had TNA decided to go the “Tara wants to destroy Angelina” route, this angle may have made a little more sense. Unfortunately, that’s not what they did. They went down the “This was all Madison’s plan” route, which makes you wonder exactly what the plan was, and what she was trying to accomplish, because you’d think if she wanted to get rid of Velvet, there’d be easier ways to do it than to force her to reunite with Angie first. Like, you know, getting your biker bodyguard to beat the holy hell out of Velvet Sky? I mean, really. I don’t get the booking here. I really don’t. Because of the responses we have decided to take the trip down memory lane and post the song. A little background on the band and song …The name of the song is, Bigger, and it was written and recorded in 1994 by the power trio/band, Ripper Jack. At the time, the song was written to expose the corruption of the American government. We feel the song fits the atmosphere of our current government more so than it did when it was written. Ripper Jack experienced moderate success with the two projects they release and they were eventually signed to a deal with Ocean Song Records, an up and coming label located in the southeast United States. Soon after they underwent a name change from Ripper Jack to Plane Jane, which didn’t sit well with the artist in any way, shape or form. At the same time the band was advanced the stew to go into the studio and re-cut the CD project. About the time the CD project was completed the trio was informed Ocean Song had been experiencing financial trouble which could effect the outcome of the project. Unfortunately, the guys in the band were not allowed to sit in on the final mix-down, as it was done in the wee hours of the morning. At final listen the mix was not at all what the guys were expecting and needless to say the entire ordeal was becoming seemingly impossible to continue. To add insult to …
