Should I Sign to a Major Label who has afford me a deal?
Question by Monica N: Should I Sign to a Major Label who has afford me a deal?
A few days ago I was afford a 3 album deal over the course of 6 years with a Major Recording Label we have all heard of..
Any way my current label which is a nice indie label that I have been with for a year wants me to resign when my contract is up at the end of this month & continue to make music on there label.
I do very much enjoy what I do now, but I just turned 24 and I fill it’s time to move on and give it a try.. I will still own the rights to my music and have creative leeway with this major label, since I am a musician, singer song writer.
I know signing to a major Label dose not grantee major success and if I do sign I will be 30 by the time the contract is up unless of course I get dropped or something.
Dose any body have some useful advice?
By the way type of music is Alternative/ Rock/Pop/Blues
I wish I could post music but due to contract and management
I am not allowed soo sorry.

Hey, I am actually having a similar problem, but I say you should stay with the Indie label, as the major label is not ultimately responsible in you becoming more well-known or more successful, but will most likely take more money from you.
