I’m with Verizon now, have the option to update or leave as my contract is over. I of course want the iPhone but it’s $ 300 + $ 20 more per month on my bill. I can get the Eris for $ 50 after mail in rebate, and like Verizon. I plan to use either as a social phone, not a business phone. My question is, is the iPhone so much better as to justify the hundreds more in price and plan cost (over 2 Yrs) I’ve taken a look at the Eris, like the UI love the look and feel, a I think it seems relatively similar to iPhone. Also is the Eris compatible with Macs in anyway when hooked up through the mini usb? Does anyone know if if play movies and in what format if it does? (The ease of iTunes when adding movies or music to the iPhone is nice but not a selling point for me as long as I can use my Mac to get get music and movies on it i’m fine.)
