Question by Amy (:: reality tv is the only producer of music?
has anybody else noticed or is it just me, most top selling musicians these days are either majorly auto-tuned or come from reality tv like x-factor. I’d like to see more proper music back in the charts like people who do it for themselves and work hard to get there. E.g The Wanted, Muse, Paramore, B.O.B. I mean i like some of the songs but most seem to be from talent shows. does anybody else agree?

I don’t agree.
Shows such as X-Factor are merely vehicles to make money for Sony Entertainment.
There is no longevity in the careers of these people.
Simon Cowell isn’t interested in music – he’s a business man.
Just look at the stats – where are Gareth Gates, Michelle McManus, Shane Ward, Steve Brookheim, Alexandra Burke, and even Joe McElderry?
They’re dropped like hot potatoes as soon as their single fails to make number 1.
No – real music comes from talent.
Just look at the album charts, not the singles charts, which is clogged up with the derivative drivel bought by little girls.
