Q&A: What percentage should an art model receive from a sale?
Published May 5, 2011
Question by Desert Gypsy: What percentage should an art model receive from a sale?
I will be posing nude and charging a per time frame price. I was wondering, though, should an artist sell a painting, sketch, etc. of me, what percentage should I be entitled to? I am going to draw up a contract that the artists must sign, but I don’t want to be unreasonable. I was thinking 20% but I don’t know for sure. Any help?

none. you are charging a fee for your time and likeness. the artist should receive all of the money from his artwork.
