A reward is posted for information on a criminal. A man, unaware of the reward, turns in information. Several days later, he finds out about the rewards, and returns to try to claim his reward.
Is he entitled to it? And given you answer, what form of Contract Law supports your answer?

This case is on point with Glover v. Jewish War Veterans (1949) 68 A.2d 233
In that case, the court decided that the plaintiff was not entitled to the reward because, in adhering to contract law principles, a person cannot accept an offer they do not know exists. That’s basic contract law about mutual assent (offer and acceptance)… obviously common law, not statutory.
