In Lady Gaga’s biography, I came across such a sentence in which Lady Gaga explains her desire to drop the university to her parents:

“I’m leaving. I’m going to get an apartment, work eight jobs and find my own way in the music business.”

What the hell does that “work eight jobs” mean? I have no clue nor any explanation from Google.

It means she’ll do whatever it takes to make enough money to be independent of her parents, even if it means, literally, working eight jobs.
