Q&A: music production……………..?

i finally found out i want to be a music producer when i graduate.
i want to work with mostly rap/hip hop but i do other genres too
i was just wondering, if anyone knows a lot about music production or is a music producer or know one that could give me a bunch of information.
like schools, software, best equipment and just any other information
