Q&A: Is it acceptable for a comic book artist to use a pseudonym or pen name?

Question by feather: Is it acceptable for a comic book artist to use a pseudonym or pen name?
Is it acceptable for an artist (such as a comic book artist, digital artist, etc.) to work under a pseudonym, rather than use their full name for work like publications? Or if not, to use their initials rather than revealing their full name or identity?
Asking on behalf of a friend who has some contract work with big companies (Marvel being one) but is a little hesitant about revealing his full name in some publications due to the content. Thanks for the help. 🙂

yes its okay. in fact a lot of artists do use pseudonym’s and i hardly think any big companies would publish comic books if the content is controversial.
