Q&A: is getting a degree in music industry a good choice for a career?

Question by Meebo: is getting a degree in music industry a good choice for a career?
i am of taking classes to pursue a goal in the music industry but i feel sometimes its unrealistic. Considering that it is a cut throat business and with the economy going on right now it looks like a long shot. So can anyone give me advice as to which direction to go in? thanks!

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way”.
If you are willing to put in the work then go for it. But I urge you to do some personal research, get internships, and get a real feel of this career path before you plunge full fledged into the industry. I suggest trying to get an internship with a radio station (good connections and a lot of exposure to the music industry)
