I am a college bound high school senior, and I need a laptop capable of music production as well as academic assignments. The amount of memory, RAM, interface, MIDI controller, and music software alone are getting to be expensive . So I was trying to find a good reliable investment that will last for years to come.

My advice is to avoid a mac,because of the price,i mean your speanding double the price on a macbook when you can get a better machine.
And in terms of reliability,it`s down to the user,and how they treat their laptop.
