Q&A: If my band wants to come from the States to perform in Canada, how do we go about applying for a visa?
Question by ohnoway: If my band wants to come from the States to perform in Canada, how do we go about applying for a visa?
I noticed on the Immigration website it said that you can’t enter into an employment with a group that has contracted for your services, but our manager lives here!! It also says that you can’t perform for a movie, tv or radio broadcast, but we are definately going on the radio. None of this makes sense. If you have done this before please advise on the process and what the rules and regulations are. Thanks.
P.s-I tried the hotline but it’s always busy.

Yes you need a visa.It is because it is based on WHERE the event is taking place. If I were you I’d go to the Canadian embassy since the line will usually be busy anyway.
