Question by maschneid: How to become an online music retailer?
Do any of the minds out there have a clue as to how you would go about starting an online business? I would like to sell music equipment online, but dont have the wharehouse or physical store to ship from. So my ideal goal would be just a middle man where people could buy, and then the product would come directly from the manufacturer. Ive googled it, and came up with nothing,(that didnt seem like the best way to about it.) So anyone out there with any input would greatly appreciated

1. Make a list of the Equipment you want to sell.
2. Do Market Research (i.e. Finding the biggest market segments and optimizing on them.)
3. Go to the manufacturer and see what type of deal there willing to come to.
4. Register a Company Name, Trademark, and Web Address.
5. Have a Website created.
6. Arrange for an account with a carrier for deliveries.
7. Being Marketing (Online and at Music Events and tradeshows)
8. Wait for the orders to come in.
Whist there is more to it than that, they are the basics.
Remember, these 4 points.
1. Promotion
2. Place
3. Price
4. Product
If you can get the above 4 points right then you should be ok.
Hope this Helps,
Paul
