Q&A: How to become a record producer?
Question by Tom: How to become a record producer?
Hi, im in high school now, and i am interested in becoming a record producer. Im not even totally sure what that means or what they do, so im asking here. Also, i assume i would go into Business courses or something, right? Another thing; the music industry is pretty bombed right now, and do you think it will get better in the next few years? This is just an option and i want to learn more about this profession.

it’s hard to say where it will go
all the Piracy has really messed it up
the producers, engineers, studio musicians etc only get paid from the sale of the music
they dont see any of the tour money
