Q&A: How to approach a music management company about a job??? (help)?
Question by AlB: How to approach a music management company about a job??? (help)?
I am really interested in music management and have done some things in the music industry. I would like to send emails along with my resume to some management companies to express my passion and interests in hopes of being picked up for an apprentice job or as an assistant since I’m just starting out. My questions is how do I approach these companies and go about expressing my interest in hopes that they will actually give me the time of day?

Just send it out there!
You have nothing to lose if they don’t get back to you…
However, a personal phone call might show that you are more dedicated than just sending an email to them.
Ask for a job interview or maybe even an internship.
Keep the phone introduction short (Hi, my name is ______ I was wondering if you were hiring blahblahblahblah…)
Remember, keep a smile on your face and be confident. Go in there thinking that you WILL get the job and that if you don’t, then they’re crazy. Confidence is key to everything ;]
it worked for me :]]]
