Q&A: How does a person get a job singing for music publishing companies?

Question by lil_sprite_77: How does a person get a job singing for music publishing companies?
I’m talking about practice CD’s and sample tracks for choirs, musical productions, theater music, etc. How does one go about getting a job doing that kind of singing? I’d LOVE to do that for a living.
