Q&A: How do you get signed as a music producer?
Question by SWeezy: How do you get signed as a music producer?
Hi, I’m 17 and would like to be a successful music producer when I’m older, i would also like to DJ and was just wondering how do you get signed as a music producer. My idols are the likes of David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia and was wondering how i could get to the stage there at or close to it. Plus do you have to have a manager and how much do they cost?

Answer by Your Uncle Dodge!
1. Buy gear and music, and practice making beats and live scratches.
2. Take your act on the road – maybe with another DJ. Get gigs.
3. Get to know singers and musicians as you progress. MySpace is helpful.
