Question by *♫▪Alex▪♫*: How do you get into the Music Business?
When I’m older I might think of getting into the music business. Do you start small? Get internships? I don’t want to be a singer, more like a producer or something like that.

My friend did an internship and worked in Maverick but when the internship was over it didnt go anywhere. You need to have some talent if you are going to be a producer, thats not something that you just learn in school. Its an art and artists success depends on how good they are at it and you dont get better in school, you either have it or you dont. If you want to be a sound engineer or something that doesnt involve alot of personal talent, then just go to school for it.. Then I would build a website and start advertising my services online. Once you have some work under your belt, you can hire an agent to help you get your foot in the door at larger record labels. If you think you want to be a producer and have the talent for it, then get yourself some money saved up, learn pro tools (maybe take some classes for how to use it if you dont want to follow with a book or videos), then start making your music and use a program like windows movie maker or nero to make videos and put your music with it and load it on myspace, youtube, veoh, all the video places…..showcase your music on soundclick and other places like that as well as a myspace page and start using a friend adder to add thousands of friends to get noticed. This is the age of computers and the internet is your best tool for getting exposure.
