i want to be a singer and perform on stage and stuff and was just wondering how to go about it. i’ve got a youtube channel where i upload video’s of me singing but don’t know what to do next…there are a couple of local music producers in my town, should i contact them and build experience working with other people, or try something else?

Answer by neither.
Find some people who plays an instrument. Start working, do some covers and also work with your songs too. Write your own lyrics. Then you are ready, and also lucky enough, find a club (or etc) to play at. Invite some of producers, or someone who knows them. If you are good enough, you will find yourself in music business. But these days some producers are perverts, so… Make sure you can satisfy him.
