Phil Seymour – Let Her Dance
The music world lost a huge talent when singer songwriter drummer Phil Seymour died from lymphoma in August 1993. As part of the Dwight Twilley Band, he and his partner found success in the mid 70s when their debut single “I’m On Fire” peaked at #16 on Billboard’s Hot 100, a song that has since become an American pop classic. It wasn’t until the 1980s and his split from Twilley that the music industry began to take notice of him as an artist…he’d embarked on a promising solo career and his first album on Boardwalk Records was getting quite a bit of attention. Though never quite achieving the level of success he had during the early 80s, Phil Seymour still continued to make his special brand of music right up till the day he died. This energetic cover of Bobby Fuller’s Let Her Dance, is Phil Seymour at his best, the video accompanying the song a poignant reminder of the immense talent we lost at his passing. Someone once described Phil as the sexiest thing that ever walked on two legs ….I second that a hundredfold. Okay, just to let y’all know, I don’t own the copywrite on this vid or …
