“Chiefly, this involves acting as the talent manager to the artists, and negotiating with record labels, music promoters, and tour promoters, usually in return for a percentage of the artist’s income.”
It’s business-oriented. I think overall, its probably beneficial to be able to recognize those with musical talent. No, you DO NOT NEED to be musical, but rather, you do need to be able to recognize and appreciate those that are and use your business and schmoozing skills to help them.
