WHO IS MYSTRO? These days, urban music artists are a dime a dozen. But as West London-bred rapper Mystro proves, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Mystro has been honing his craft since age 13, when he first began writing rhymes after being inspired by acts ranging from Public Enemy, NWA and De La Soul through to UK pioneers like Gunshot, Hijak and London Posse. After establishing himself on the London underground circuit in the late 90’s, the Mighty Mys — who is also one half of the Natural Born Spittaz crew alongside regular partner in rhyme Jargon — has built a reputation as one of UK hip-hop’s brightest vocal talents, releasing a string of critically acclaimed solo singles and EPs, as well as lending his skills to releases by a who’s who of British heavy weights, including Blak Twang and Rodney P.
