We want to have the artist sign a legal contract?
Will a self made contract stand up in court or do i have to have a lawyer make the contract.

It would be better to have a lawyer make it just to protect yourself, because they are way better at all the legal stuff and will try to seal loopholes. It might cost more but it would be well worth it. Most websites policy’s and terms of agreement and such are written up by lawyers in case someone tries to sue for all there assets.
